holiday mood

Good morning.

It feels odd to have one week of holiday without having to return to school for RISE rehearsals. Like I said before, I have mixed feelings about my CCA. The reasons why I usually look forward to attending rehearsals are basically, interest and company. What gives me a sense of belonging is the fact that others wan to make friends with me - of course I usually return the favor.

However, it pains me each time our conductor loses his temper, regardless of the reason. This is not only stressful, but also extremely demoralising for everyone. It seems that what was originally meant for leisure (but not slacking) has been transformed into the equivalent of an emergency exercise.

Teacher's Day was an opportunity to catch up with old friends from 6J '02. The response was great. More than half turned up at Swensens in Parkway Parade and we chatted for almost 2 hours. After that we went to Katong Shopping Center for LAN-ing and pool. I joined Daryl and Tze Wei for dinner before calling it a day.

BBQ for RISE members at David's residence this afternoon - hope it will be fun, with opportunities to dunk some people!
